I Jason Crosby and Friends celebrate his birthday
with a Led Zeppelin/Grateful Dead sandwich!
“No Quarter > Shakedown Street > No Quarter”
Jason Crosby and an all star line up of friends celebrated Jason’s birthday last night at Terrapin Crossroads. From a Zeppelin/Grateful Dead sandwich to his signature Nirvana /Grateful Dead Mashup “Friend of the Lithium”, a few originals from various band members, and styles fro. jazz, rock, country, Latin, alt-everything and more, it was a vast and varied set of musical adventures and camaraderie.
Terrapin Nation regulars enjoyed a very intimate show in The Grate Room, two very full sets.
Joining Jason, in the celebration, was an all-star cast of musicians including, core band, of Stu Allen, Dan Leibowitz, Steve Adams, Jay Lane, and Cochrane McMillan, and featured guests , Reid Genauer, Grahame Lesh, Brian Rashap, Greg Loiacono, James Nash, Greg Anton, Danny Eisenberg, Scott Guberman, Elliott Peck, Connor O’Sullivan, Eric DiBerardino, and Alex Jordan, + other special guests i may have missed.
At the same time, the rocking Kate Gaffney Band, featuring New Monsoons Jeff Miller on lead guitar, was burning it up in the Terrapin Crossroads Bar, making for another music filled night in San Rafael, California.
A full weekend of music lays ahead og us in the Bay area, with The Mother Hips at Terrapin Crossroads in the Grate Room Saturday night, Ramblin Jack Elliott at the Sweetwater in Mill Valley tonight, David Nelson Band touring northern California (Tonight in Grass Valley, Sunday at Terrapin’s Grate Room), Paul Simon at the Greek in Berkeley… And that’s just scratching the surface of this weekends musical choices. Jason Crosby and Friends got us primed and ready!
Happy birthday Jason Crosby, I’m honored to be your friend, and thrilled you are such a big part of our local music scene & community!
