Devo performed their first show in 4 years!
With John Waters introducing the band and a surprise encore of The Girl Can’t Help It (which Devo performed at the premier of the John Waters directed Pink Flamingos over 30 years ago), many Divine memories were evoked. Great fun, and some serious commentary about how the current world situation has been proving their points, from the Devolution Theorists.
Burger Boogaloo is a 2 day punk rock festival – not my typical coverage here on DHL, but my roots are twisted and spiky…. !

(Josh Freese – Devo’s most regular drummer of the last 20 years, was not there, he’s in a lot of bands, probably on tour somewhere… . Classic period Devo drummer Alan Myers, passed away in 2013 – though he had not played with the band since the 80’s).

– Devo also recently lost Bob2 (Robert Casale) on guitar and synth, with his passing in 2014.
