Bob Weir has performed in 32 sets of music at Lockn Festival since 2013. And he missed a year even! he’s been to 6/7 Lockn Festivals.
(I reckon I made it to at least 20 of those sets… deadheadland tries damn hard, but I can’t always keep up with Bob Weir.)
In the video above, Lockn Promoter Pete Shapiro gives Bob the award, “Most Sets Played At Lockn 2013-2019” , then Bob Weir and Wolf Bros closes out Lockn 2019 with an encore of Not Fade Away and Ripple.
Some of the appearances are just 1 song, like his sit in with Steel Pulse earlier in the day, on Sunday August 25
Watch some of the Bob Weir Lockn’ Festival performances from 2017 that Shappy mentions:
An absolutely beautiful version of the complete Weather Report Suite, including the Prelude and Parts 1 & 2. Written by Bob Weir and John Barlow, and performed here by Bob Weir, as a special guest of Oteil Brubridge and friends. featuring the late Neal Casal.
This set of music is now the final public performance by Neal Casal.

Paul Simon tells a story about meeting Bob Weir before the Monterey Pop Festival, then Bob Weir joins him on stage, to a cheering San Francisco crowd at Outside Lands Music Festival 2019.
another view :
A couple days earlier, on August 9th, during a performance at the Fox Theatre, Oakland California, Simon dedicated the same song, “The Boxer”, to the memory of Bob Weir’s friend and Grateful Dead band mate, Jerry Garcia, on what was the 24th anniversary of Jerry’s passing.
While Paul Simon has officially retired from touring, after a massive two years of final tour with performances all over the world, he still does occasional special shows, with his proceeds going to charity. The Bay area was honored with two special rare performances this weekend,Friday in Oakland at the Fox, and Sunday in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
